ABOUT US Founded in 1996, the Junior Committee is comprised of young women who have an interest in supporting the Medical Center. We are the only group of young professional women in San Francisco focused on medical philanthropy, and, as such, we have made a substantial impact. Over the last five years alone, we have raised over $245,000 for the CPMC Foundation. The Junior Committee’s primary fundraising event is the Glitter Ball, an annual black tie gala which attracts more than 300 attendees for an elegant evening of cocktails, dinner and dancing. This year's Glitter Ball will be held on Saturday, March 28th 2009, at The Venetian Room in the Fairmont Hotel. Our Beneficiary this year is the Neuroscience Department at CPMC – the donation will go towards a Brain Lab Cranial Navigation System.
